Orphaned Soups

Occasionally the vastness of the world wide web fails us.

It's no different for Soup Adventurer. Below is a list of countries that have not had a soup found for them, or rather, have recipes that I have not been able to find and be convinced of its authenticity. Or maybe a recipe has been found for that country's supposed specialty but with another country named in the text. While I am certain in these cases that the recipes are similar or may very well be the same, I have no way to confirm this and do not want to move forward in a manner that will compromise this project. I understand that there will be misses - no "probably" about it! - but with this knowledge I am determined to make the hits to the best of my ability and going with a recipe that I cannot confirm goes against that.

Over time this list will change; More countries will be added, hopefully most if not all will eventually be crossed out and linked to their respective posts! If you or someone you know has an authentic recipe - or a source for one - please do not hesitate to contact me so that it can be shared with the world! Suggestions will also be accepted for countries that are not on this list. Maybe you have a favorite family recipe that you would love to see featured when we get to the country of your family's origin, I would love to feature it! Of course, credit will be given where it is due.

Lastly, I hear every once in a while from those that support this project that it's very possible that not every country has a soup particular to its culture, but I can't believe it. However, if you do have knowledge that this may be the case for any of our orphaned countries below, I just ask that you break it to me gently as I will probably need to mourn appropriately.

Without further ado, the countries below are in need of a fabulously authentic soup recipe:
  1. Angola
  2. Anguilla
  3. Antigua and Barbuda
